INTERNATIONAL FORCE. GENERAL BRIND’S DEPARTURE. (Official wireless.) RUGBY, Dec. 12.. Major-General Brind, who has been appointed Commander-In-Chief of the International Saafi Forces, will leave London for Saarbrucken to-morrow with the members of his staff. In addition to the British' units previously announced as forming part of •the force, a squadron of the 12th. Lancers with eight armoured cars will be sent after Christmas. The units will have active service equipment.

Major-i General Brind, who Is to command the International force in the Saar, during the plebiscite, left London and will reach Saarbruecken to-mori’ow. An advance party of British officers arrived there to-day. The main body will , proceed via Calais, next week. The last time a force of this size went to the continent their purpose was to make war; their object now is to keep the peace.
