BYRD IN ANTARCTICA.
ALL HANDS BUSY. PREPARING THE PLANES. United Press Assn.—Elec. Te! Cnpyrlstit NEW YORK, Sept. 16. ' A message from Little America states that the work of removing the expedition’s aeroplanes from the snow ;and ice hangars is keeping all hands busy. The monoplane Miss America Airways has been hauled out, and will be taken on a test flight in a few days, preparatory to the spring explorations, which are scheduled to start early in October. v.The work of releasing the great biplane, which has an 82ft. wing-spread, has started. It is estimated that tw.o hundred tons of solid ice must be cut away, and the work will probably require a fortnight.
