OBITUARY.
MRS RHODA WHITE. AUCKLAND, Tuesday. The death occurred yesterday at Howick, at the age of 96, of Mrs Hhoda White, who was the sole survivor of ilic colonists who arrived in Auckland in 1847 and 1848 and founded the military pensioners’ settlement at Howick. Mrs White was the daughter of Sergeant-Major Patrick Pearce, of the sist. Regiment.
MR F. MORRIS. AUCKLAND, Tuesday. The death occurred suddenly at Birkenhead yesterday, at the age of GO years, of Mr Frederick Morris, a well-known builder and owner of the first block of business premises erected ill Highbury. MR W. M. ACTON-ADAMS. CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday. Mr William Miles Acton-Adams, whose death lias occurred at Kaikoura, was tiie eldesl son of I lie laic Colonel Percy M. Aden-Adams, owner of Clarence Reserve Station, Kaikoura. Mr Aelon-Adams was a member of Ihe Kaikoura Agricultural and Pastoral Association, and was for two veers its president, lie was also a member of ttic commiltee of llie Canterbury Sheep Owners' Association.
