CAMBRIDGE SALE. i'he New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, Hamilton, report on their Cambridge stock sale held yesterday as follows: — A? small yarding of fat hoggets drew good competition and satisfactory values were obtained. . A good yarding of fat and store cattle dieted keen competition, and prices obtained were well up to recent Frankton quotations. Dairy cows and heifers were yarded In large numbers and drew spirited competition, values being better than we have seen for some time. The advertised herd of dairy cows averaged £6 ss. We quote: Medium fat cows and heifers, £4 to £5 9s; lighter; £2 15s to £3 18s; killable, £1 18s to £2 12s; good store cows, £1 5s to £1 11s; cull cows, Ills to 18s; medium quality yearling Jersey heifers, £1 15s to £2 10s; best quality dairy heifers, close to profit, £6 15s to £8; more backward, £4 15s to £6 10s; late calvers, £1 15s to £3 10s; best quality dairy cows, close to profit, £8 to £9 10s; later calvers, £6 10s to £7 15s; others, £4 10s to £6 ss; late calvers, £2 to £4; good fat hoggets, £1 3s lOd to £1 Gs; others, to £1; medium fat wethers to £1 4s lid. A good yarding of all classes of pigs came forward and a clearance was effected at values well up to other centres. Stores and weaners were in good demand. We quote; Light baconers, and heavy porkers, £2 Is to £2 8s; medium porkers, £1 15s to £2; light porkers, £1 5s 6d to £1 10s; good stores, £1 to £1 4s; poorer -stores, 16s to 18s 6d; slips, 13s to 15s 6d; good weaners, 10s to 12s Gd; inferior, up to 9s 6d. RANGIRIRI STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Go-operative Auctioneering Company Limited, report having held their fortnightly sale at Rangiriri on Monday when a medium yarding of beef came forward, and sold well under keen competition. A heavy entry of store cattle was penned. Competition was very keen in the steer section and sold under brisk bidding. The store cows and heifers came forward in poor condition and the values did not reach the vendors’ reserves. A medium yarding of dairy oattle was offered, the majority being of an Inferior quality. The demand was fair, late values being maintained throughout.
