HINUERA NOTES.
ANNUAL CROQUET MEETING. Mrs W. Oates presided over a full attendance of members at the tenth annual meeting of the Hinuera Croquet Club. The report and balancesheet were read and adopted and the treasurer's report showed a credit balance. Trophies were presented to the winners of various competitions held during the year, as follows. —A championship, Mrs T. De Renzy; run-ner-up, Mrs R. Swan; B championship, •Mrs F. Toogood; runner-up, Mrs Thornton; handicap single, Mrs T. De Renzy; points competition, Mrs C. Collins; runner-up, Mrs E. Grimshaw; challenge buttons, Mrs T. De Renzy and Mrs E. Grimshaw.
It was decided that the membership be limited to 20 and that the subscription remaining the same. The following officers were elected for the coming season:' Patron, Mrs G. Wade; committee, Mrs ;R. Swan (president), Mrs R. Hawke (vice-president), Mrs A. Rowe (secretary), Mrs F. Toogood (treasurer), Mrs F. Germann, Mrs W. Oates and Mrs E. Grimshaw; handicapper, Mrs T. De Renzy; delegate to S.A.C.A., Mrs A. Rowe; match committee, Mesdames R. Swan, A. Rowe and B. Tisch.
The retiring president was presented with a posy of violets and a dainty afternoon tea was served by the outgoing -committee.
