Five nominations were made at the meeting of the Salvation Army high council for tlie leader of the movement. Those nominated were:— Commander Evangeline Booth. Commissioner Catherine Booth (Britain), daughter of the late General Bramwell Booth, and a niece of Commander Evangeline, the General-elect. Commissioner Ilurren, principal of the Army’s International Training College. He was once an office boy lo the founder. Commissioner Mapp, Chief of Staff, and Commissioner Lamb, of London.
