GIFT EVENING

FOR BRIDE-TO-BE. A most enjoyable gift evening was given by Mrs H. Loveridge in the Centreway tea rooms on Saturday evening for Miss Dorothy Wilkes, whose marriage takes place shortly. The time was passed with games and dancing, and songs were rendered by Messrs 11. Arthur and If. Absolum, Miss R. Findlay and Mrs H. Absolum being the accompanists. After a delicious supper had been served, the gifts were opened, Rev. R. J. Boyt. replying on behalf of Miss Wilkes. The evening concluded with musical honours for the host and hostess.

Mrs Loveridge wore a frock of deep purple lace, and Miss Wilkes was wearing parma violet satin.
