STOCK SALE.

AT TE AWAMUTU. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report:— The Te Awamutu slock sale was held yesterday when only a medium yarding of 'sheep was penned, comprising mostly fat hoggets, these showing no alteration in prices. Cattle: A very small yarding with a small entry of fat cattle, which sold at \ery firm rates. All other classes remained unchanged. Pigs: A full yarding of stores and weaners, all classes being keenly sought after, especially weaners which sold at advanced rates. Dairy cattle: An exceptionally heavy yarding of all classes. Good quality were the only sorts that commanded attention, and sold at late ruling rates, while other sorts xvere hard to dispose of. Quotations: Light fat wethers, 2fs to 22s lid; medium fat hoggets, 22s 7d to 23s 8d; light hoggets, 16s Gd to 19s Id; light fat steers, £5 to £5 ss; medium fat cows and heifers, £4 4s to £4 15s; lighter fat cows and heifers, £3 to £3 15s; killable cows, £2 5s to £2 15s; boner cows, 15s to 255; small heifer calves, 12s Gd to 25s;'choice Jersey cows, close to profit, £5 10s to £G 10s; choice Jersey and Jersey cross cows close to profit, £4 10s to £5 ss; Jersey and Jersey cross cows, later ealvers, £3 to £4; aged md inferior cows, 20s to 40s; choice Jersey heifers, close lo profit, £4 10s to £5 ss; choice Jersey heifers, later ealvers, £3 10s to £4; more backward sorts, 30s to £2 10s. Pigs; Medium porkers, 33s to 345; light porkers, 25s to 28s; good stores, 20s to 225; slips, JGs to 18s; good Tamworth weaners, 14s Gd lo 17s; good Tamworth cross weaners, 13s to 14s; others, 9s to 12s. CLEARING SALE. Messrs. G. W. Vercoe and Co. Ltd., report having held a clearing sale at Whatawhala yesterday on account of Mr. E. Egan. The cows came forward in good condition and met with a good demand from a large attendance of buyers. The whole herd averaged £5 2s; good quality Jersey and Jersey cross cows (early ealvers) from £8 5s to £10; good Jersey cross cows (later ealvers) from £5 5s to £6 15s; Shorthorn cows (early oalvers), £4 10s to £5 10s; backward and unsound cows, from £2 to £3 ss; Tamworth sows in pig, from £4 12s 6d to £5 Is; empty sows, from 31s to £2 7s 6d; weaners, to 10s 6d. The farm sundries changed hands at rates on a par with those of other clearing sales.
