GAMES IN HAMILTON. TOWN v. COUNTRY FIXTURES. ’ BRIGHT EXHIBITIONS PROMISED. The Hamilton senior A and senior B cricket competitions will be suspended on Saturday owing to the Town v. Country matches, which will be played on Seddon Park. Four representative matches will be played, two senior A and two senior B against teams of even strength representing Hamilton. The Country teams have been selected from the sub-associations affiliated to the South Auckland Association. The Eastern representatives comprising players from the Eastern side of the River and the Southern representatives consisting of players from sub-associations on the Main Trunk line. Some splendid games should result and a large crowd can be expected at the Park. The South Auckland Association has received a letter from the Auckland Cricket Association offering congratulations on its efforts In arranging the fixture and stating that they (Auckland) hope to send some members down to view the matches: The Junior competition will be carried a further stage on Saturday. TOWN v. OOUNTRY. DRAW AT WELLINGTON. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. The annual Town and Country cricket match was continued to-day. The game ended in a draw. Yesterday Town made 194 in its first innings and Country was dismissed for 101. Town’s second innings was declared closed at 2.25 p.m. to-day with the score at 223 for five wickets, leaving Country 317 to get to win. Country had eight wickets down for 201 when time was called.
