Indications are for partly fair and partly overcast weather to-day with higher temperature," winds variable later veering to a northerly direction when unsettled weather may be expected. Mean temperature 71.5 degrees. SOUTH AUCKLAND AREA. (By Govt. Meteorologist) The special forecast by the Government meteorologist covering the WaikatoThames Valley area is as follows: Forecast: Moderate to < strong south-east winds, decreasing gradually. Weather cloudy to overcast, and cool, with scattered misty rain. Seas rough. General Inference: The depression to the north of New Zealand is now moving away eastward.
