HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY
ROSE SHOW. NEXT WEEK'S EXHIBITION. The Hamilton Horticultural Society will hold its summer show in the Y.M.C.A., Bryce Street, on Tuesday. Roses and sweet peas will he the principal features of the show, while the cut flower classes make provision for effective displays of delphiniums, stock, antirrhinums, lupins, iris and other seasonable verities. The decorative section is always a pleasing feature of the summer show, while the Country Cup competition will no doubt, produce a number of very fine displays. Mr H. Bennett, the very successful Te Kowhai grower. Is confining his compelitlve entries to the open classes, but Is staging about 75 vases of roses for exhibition.
Mr W.' K. Lippiatl. of Otnhului, who Is acting as Judge, will also stage a large exhibit, of roses, including the latest novelties.
