FRUIT AND PRODUCE. LITTLE ALTERATSON IN VALUES TIIE LATEST QUOTATIONS. Although there has been a good call for all varieties of fruit and vegetables on the Hamilton markets this week, values have shown little variation on figures ruling last week. Gooseberries have come on to the market, and a shipment of bananas arrived. The latest prices for fruit are as follows: Apples (401 b. case).— Sturmer, 10s 6d to 12s; Delicious, 10s 6d to Us 6d; Washington, 11s to 12s; Rome Beauty, Us Gd to 12s. Dessert Pears, 12s to 14s; P. Barry ■cooking pears, 12s 6d to 13s; lemons, 9s to 10s 6d case, according to count; Australian oranges, 21s to 265; hothouse tomatoes, first grade Is 4d to Is 6d lb., second Is Id to Is 3d, small lOd to Is; bananas, green 20s to 21s 6d; ripe, 24s to 265; grapes, 25s to 275; 321 b. chest gooseberries, Ss to 3s 6d per case.

Values fop Vegetables. Most classes of vegetables are In food supply, although cauliflowers are scarcer. Canadian onions are clearing freely. Following are the latest quotations: — Cauliflowers, 6s to 9s sack; spring cabbages, 5s to 6s, drumhead, 6s to 7s; new carrots, Is dozen bundles, last season’s, 3s sugar bag; parsnips, beet, turnip, Is dozen bundles; lettuce, 2s 6d to 4s case; asparagus, first grade, lOd to is bundle, second 6d to 8d; celery, 6d to is bundle; new potatoes, 7s sugar bag; Canadian onions to 16s 6d bag.

Produoe and Cereals. Old crop potatoes are finished, ■while the few varieties of seed potatoes offering are making from 10s to 11s per cwt. Wheat is firm at 5s 9d a bushel in sack Jots, while maize Is also steady at 4s 9d. A good demand has been experienced for seed maize, which is selling at 7s 9d to 10s a bushel, according to variety. The market for oats is steady. A. Gartons realising 4s and B. Gartons 3s 9d. Bran is in firm demand at 7s 6d per iOOlbs., and pollard at Bs. Local chaff is offering at £7 a ton, and southern at £7 10s. Eggs, Butter, and Fish. Eggs remain in fair supply, and are retailing at Is a dozen. Butter is unchanged at Is Id for superfine, Is for first grade, and lOd and lid for. separator. Most varieties of fish have been In good supply this week, although crayfish are scarce, and the whitebait seaeon is almost done.
