HAMILTON COMPETITIONS.

FIXTURES FOR TO-MORROW. The second series of games In the senior A and B Hamilton -orioket competitions will be ooncluded to-morrow, while the fourth matches in the Junior grade will be decided. Owing to the rain last Saturday the games were vut short and in the senior A grade at any rate it looks as if the. decisions will rest on the results of the first innings’ play. The fixtures are as follows: f Senior A. Hamilton East v. Claudelands, No, 1 Sedd-on Park, umpires, Messrs Johnston and \V. Hunwick; Old Boys v. Claudelands, No. 2 Seddon Park, umpires, Messrs R. Foster and F. Secoombe. Senior B. Frankton United v. Railway, No. 3 Seddon Park, umpires, Messrs J. Wainsoott and H. Turbott; Morrineville v. East Old Boys, No. 4 Seddon Park, umpires, Messrs J. F. Strang and E. W. Thorpe; High School v. Hamilton East at High School, umpires, Messrs E. Sandford and W. R. Beaver. Junlprs. Marlst A v. Marist B, No. 1 Steele Park; Technical v. C.C.G., No. 2 Steele Park; Hamilton v. High School, No. 3 Steele Park. i The umpires will collect the score books from their representative games and hand them over to Mr W. Hunwick.

The draw for Saturday’s games is as under:—Seniors: Rukuhia v. United, at Albert Park; Lake Road v. Kalpalci, at Lake Road. Juniors Kaipald v. Rukuhia, at Rukuhia.

NEW ZEALAND COUNOIL. TOUR OF AUSTRALIAN TEAM. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. (By Telegraph,—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday. It was reported by Mr A. T. Donnelly at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Cricket Council this evening that the management committee had sent to Australia two suggested Itineraries for the team to visit New Zealand. The proposal was that the team should arrive in New Zealand early in February and stay seven or eight weeks, two test matches to be played, one at Dunedin and oile at Wellington. The following officers were elected: —Patron, the Governor-General, Lord Biedlsloe; president, Mr J. Fraser; vice-presidents, the presidents of the affiliated associations; management committee, Messrs A. T. Donnelly, E. R. Caygill, J. Ramsden, H. M. Taylor, Dr. P. S. Foster; treasurer; Mr D. E. Wanklyn; secretary, Mr W. H. Wlnsor; auditor, Mr A. 'E. Byrne.

Messrs Fairfax and Paterson are opening London's largest indoor cricket school, with six full-length pitches. Fairfax (whose partner in the school Is P. Paterson, formerly a Sydney first grade cricketer), now has no intention of qualifying for Kent, explaining that only those born in Kent are now entitled to represent the county, lie will not return to the Lancashire League, but hopes to play in London in 1931, though arrangements have not yet been made. The whole of the Australian team in 1934 will be honorary members of the school, which will enable them to practice on various types of wicket irrespective of the weather if there is a difficulty in obtaining good open air practice early In the English season.
