MATAMATA HORSE FAIR.
Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., Hamilton report having held their Matamata horse sale on Monday, as under;— There was a moderate yarding and good attendance. The demand for all useful farm sorts was good, and top market values were obtained. The principal sales were:—On account of Mr John Watson, eight-year-old draught gelding, £36 10s; on account of Mrs Fitzgerald, medium draught mare, £33; on account of Mr W. E. Short, light draught mare, 4-years, £27; on account of Mr H. Crawford, light draught mare, four-year, £27; on account Mr T. A. Hopkins, draught four-year-old, £2B; on account Mr P. Barugh, three-year-old light draught mare, £22; on account of Mr J. H. Cornier, aged farm gelding, £ls 10s; on account of Mr C. Hemingway, aged farm gelding, £18; on account of Mr Lloyd, draught mare, £27; aged harness gelding, £l3 10s; on account of Mr R. K. Garland, polo pony, fouryears, £ll 10s; on account of other clients, hacks and aged horses, £2 10s .to £lO.
