SHEEP VALUES FIRMER.

ADVANCE IN BEEF. FRANKTON STOCK SALE. PIG QUOTATIONS EASIER. There was a heavy yarding of 'fat sheep at the weekly stock sale at the Frankton yards to-day, the yarding -comprising mostly ewes. Competition was stronger than last week for ewes and especially strong for wethers Which sold at increased rates. Hoggets and lambs were also in demand at late quotations.. There was a good yarding of ox and -cow beef which under steady competition realised firmer values. Pigs were yarded in very large numbers and quotations were consequently easier. Sheep.—Heavy prime woolly wethers, 28s 6d to 30s; medium prime woolly wethers, 24s 9d to 26s 3d; light woolly wethers, 19s 6d to 22s 9d; heavy prime shorn wethers, 23s 6d to 24s 9d; light prime -shorn wethers, 21s to 22s Gel; heavy prime maiden ewes. 23s 6d to 24s 6d; heavy fat ewes, 19s6dto 21s 9d; medium fat ewes, 18s 3d to 19s; light fat ewes, 15s to 16s lOd; heavy prime hoggets, 25s to 30s; medium prime hoggets, 20s 6cl to 225; light prime hoggets, 17s 9d to 19s Gd; spring lambs, 18s to 255.

Beef. —Heavy prime fat bullocks, £6 12s 6d to £7 prime 'fat bullocks, £5 15s to £6 10s; light prime fat bullocks, £5 5s to £5 12s Gd; heavy fat cows, £4 18s to £5 7s 6d medium prime cows, £3 15s to £4 10s; light prime cows, £2 l-8s to £3 10s.
