THE WEATHER. Only a few light scattered showers have been experienced In the district. Rain Is needed Tor gardens and growing crops. Hall Dance. The dance In aid or the hall Improvement fund was well attended. Mrs Holmes supplied the music and Mr C. Hancock was M.G. . . Bridge Club. The Ohaupo Bridge Club defeated a local team by 2000 points. Prizes for highest scores were won by Mesdames F. Ryburn and Tltmarsh, and Messrs. L. Turnwald and F. Field. Mrs Grey won the hidden number. Annual Meeting. The annual report of the Tennis Club showed a small credit balance. It was decided to again affiliate with the Walpa West Sub-assoclatlon and to enter two teams if sufficient support was forthcoming The election of officers resulted as follows: president, Mr S. C. Macky; joint secretaries, Messrs. A. Benton and K. Head: committee, women’s, Misses K. Karl M. Maclty, J. Ryburn, N. Rhodes; men’s Messrs. G. Finch, L. Spiers, C. Hancock, C. Ryburn, C. Shaw; selection committee, Miss Shaw and Messrs. R. Head and G. Finch. The opening date was nxed for October 14. Personal. Mrs Selwyn Germann has returned from a holiday spent In Raglan. Mr F Ryburn has been Invited to Judge the pedigree Jersey classes at the forthcoming Stratford Show.
