The Secretary of Labour, Miss Frances Perkin's, estimated to-day that 750,000 workers had returned to jobs in August, and the weekly pay-ro is of 89 of the principal manufacturing industries in the country had increased by £2,400,000. Miss Perkms says ithls indicates “the success of the N.R.A. and other efforts for industrial recovery.”
