YORKSHIRE v. THE REST. United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright. (Received Sept. 16, 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 15. The annual match, champion county (Yorkshire) v. The Rest of England, was commenced to-day. Yorkshire in their .first innings made 202. Sutcliffe contributed 114 (not out) and Mitchell 52. Nicholls took five wickets for 54. When play ceased for the day, The Rest had scored 44 for no loss.
