AMATEUR ACTIVITIES.

Hamilton Amateur Operatio Society. Cecily Tabor-Gregory, the producer for “The Firefly,” is rapidly moulding the piece into shape. At the rehearsals this week the whole of the flrst act was completed and the 'producer expressed satisfaction with the work of the company. Mrs Gregory Is introducing a number of clever divertisements and ensembles whioh will make the complete production fight up to the high standard of previous plays presented by the society.

Opinion of a Visitor. At Thursday’s rehearsal of "The Firefly," Mr John Farrell, of the J. C. Williamson management was present and expressed the opinion that the production was being shaped on very sound lines, and that the finished performance should provide very excellent entertainment.

“High Jinks” at Heiensvlllo. The local Amateur Operatio Society produced "High Jinks” this week to enthusiastic audiences.
