PAN’S LETTER
J)EAR GIRLS AND BOYS,— The postman brought Peter quite a big mall this week, but not suoh a huge one as there wae last week. There were letters, letters everywhere. Bu't Peter enjoyed all your news so much, and he hopes you will find time to write even though you are baok at sohool again. Peter always thought the last term seemed to fty, as there was so muoh work to be done, exams oomlng on, and tennis, tcrlcket and swimming ,all wanting you to have some fun out-of-doors. And, of course, the faster the time goes the sooner Christmas oomes and lots of fun with It. Don’t forget, however, that there are some little girls and boys who won’t have any Christmas unless you remember our C.O.C. will you? Peter hopes you all noticed our new rule. He Is printing It again this week as a final warning to you all. He would like you to send In any suggestions you may have for our page and we will see If we can’t make it better every week. Weren’t the gale® strong last week-end. Every time poor Peter went out he was buffeted round and pushed this way and’ that by rude IMr Wind. And his-poor garden was knocked down so cruelly. As for the blackbird who s’ngs outside the window, Peter did not see him for three days. He thinks he must have been hiding Jn the big pine tree opposite.
Some of yoi/ were lucky enough to see tho Australian warships when they were In port. Didn’t they look solid? Like great walls of steel, Peter thought. They looked splendid coming up the harbour In the early morning. Don’t forget the C.C.C. and used stamps, will you? Cheerio, kiddles!
