WEDDINGS.

JONES—SYMONDS. The marriage was solemnised at the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, by the Rev. Father Walls, on Tuesday, September 12, between Marion, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs G. W. Symonds, of Pio Pio, and Basil Thomas, elder son of Mr and Mrs T. E. Jones, of Dargaville. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a lovely frock of ivory georgette, made on slim fitting lines, falling Into a full flare heavily trimmed with angel skin lace. Her veil, which formed a train, was of fllet lace and w’as held in place with sprays of* orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of freeslas, hyacinths and maiden hair fern. Miss Enid Jones, sister of the bridegroom, attended the bride and wore a frock of primrose Chantilly lace, trimmed with silver. Her hat was a lace leghorn trimmed with velvet the same shade as the frock. Two little flower girls, Barbara Patterson and Mary Symonds, nieces of the bride, were dressed alike In pale blue period frocks and carried posies of primroses. Mr R. E. Jones, of Auckland, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man. After the ceremony, a reception was held at the Wattle Tea Rooms, where Mrs Symonds received her guests in a black and white ensemble with smart straw hat to match. She was assisted by her daughter, Mrs W, E. Nicholson, who wore a frock of rust crinkled crepe with hat to tone. Mrs T. E. Jones, mother of the bridegroom, wore a frock of navy and white diagonal stripe flat crepe with hat to tone and furs. The guests included:—Mr and Mrs S. Jenklnson, Mr and Mrs Patterson (Otorohanga), Mr and Mrs W. L. Symonds (New Plymouth), Mr and Mrs Waide (Tahuna), Miss Pauline Jones (Dargaville), Miss Mollle Jones (Dargaville), Miss Grace Jenklnson, Miss Pat. Jenklnson, Miss Oakden, Miss Kathleen Oakden (, Miss Mary Stansfleld (Auckland), Miss Ailsa Cross (Auckland), Miss Pat, Johnson ('Otorohanga), Messrs C. and R. Jenkinson (Auckland), Master Wm. Nicholson. Mr and Mrs Basil Jones left by car •for the wedding trip, the bride travelling in a smart navy tailored costume and navy hat with touches of white, and a squirrel fur, the gift of the bridegroom. •')V

SCARFE—BULL.

A .quiet wedding took place at Wellington recently when Adeline Nellie Bull, late of Dannevirke, was married to Wallace Alfred Scarfe, 13 Bridge Street, Rongotal.’ Miss Elsie Scarfe, sister of the bridegroom, attended the bride, who looked charming in an ensemble of grey. Mr S. Watkins, Lower Hutt, acted as best man. After ■the ceremony the party lunched at the Royal Oak Hotel, and before the happy oouple left by car en route to Hamilton, where they are making their future home, a reception was held at the house of the bridegroom at Rongotai.
