SETTLERS’ BALL.
AT EUREKA. The Eureka Hall was the scene of a most enjoyable ball last Monday evening, organised by the settlers of the district. The decorations were prettily carried out In blue and gold, and with greenery and flowers made an attractive setting. The stage was furnished as a lounge and a marquee was also used. From a specially constructed dais Clayton’s orchestra supplied excellent music, and Mr Eric Inglis capably played the extras. The supper room was artistically decorated with a lattice work of blue
and gold streamers, and the ladles 11 committee were responsible fop thflj delicious supper. Among those present were:—Mesdames C. P. Harington, black lace and georgette: L. W.
