Thursday .. 64.00 42.00 Friday 66.0 42.0 The barometer is steady at 30.25. Indications are for fair to cloudy weather to-day and to-morrow, xyith. warmer temperatures. Winds variable, later veering to a northerly direction. 5 degrees of frost were recorded this morning. ' SOUTH AUCKLAND AREA. (By Govt. Meteorologist) The special forecast by the Government meteorologist covering the WaikatoThames Valley area is as follows : Forecast: Light to moderate winds veering between south and west. 1 Weather fine and mild. Seas smooth to moderate. General inference: An anticyclone still covers the north-east Tasman Sea and New Zealand.' Last night, a very slight low pressure wave passed in 'the far south and it is the first of a series of westerly depressions likely to cause some unsettled weather next week. V THE RAINFALL.
