BOWLER FAREWELLED.
LONG ASSOCIATION WITH CLUB REMOVED. TO HAMILTON. Mr. W. Chegwidden, after 20 years’ -association with Hie Newt-own Bowling Club (Wellington), was farewclled by members of his old club last weekon the eve of tiis departure for Hamilton where ho lias taken up residence. The president of the club (Mi*. J. M porter) in making a presentation to Mr. Chegwidden of a suitably inscribed cigarette case mentioned that he had during iiis long association with the club acted as secretary for the past five years and had also represented the club as delegate to the centre and at various Dominion events. Mr. Chegwidden recently returned from a round trip of the Paclflo Islands. His son, Mr. W. V. Gltegwidden, lias taken over his duties in the Stale Fire Insurance Office at Hamilton in succession to Mr. 11. C. R. Blackwood, who was transferred to Palmerston North.
