FIRE IN GARAGE.
SEVERAL CARS DAMAGED. OUTBREAK AT GISBORNE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GISBORNE, Friday. Local enterprise suffered a setback this morning when a -garage occupied by the New Zealand Motor Manufacturing Company, which has Its headquarters at Gisborne, was extensively gutted by fire. Two cars being completed by the company as demonstration units were praotioally demolished, but a smaller model, not yet completed, esoaped. Three other cars which were In the garage for repairs were substantially damaged, and the fire also took toll of expensive machinery recently Installed.
The Insurance on the oontents totalled £2535.
