HIGH PITCH BLUNDERS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday. The weather was fine for training at Rlccarton this morning. The outside oourse proper was open but proceedings were not exciting, many horses who raced on Saturday being restricted to useful work. Water Polo and Haere Tonu went half-a-mile along the back in 50 3-ss. Martian Chief and Top Rank did a similar distance in 51s. /’ Bell Hill covered five furlongs in 1.4. , Fleeting Glance and Some Shambles ran half a mile in 49 4-5. Shatter went five furlongs Jn 1.5. Drumfire was sent over seven furlongs, covering the distance in 1.30 3-5. St. Joan, Fiat Lux and Moat Queen ■ran six furlongs in ,1.20. Cricket Bat did a working gallop of six furlongs. Don Jose and Thurina ran a mile and the last mile occupying 1.52. Chief Light and Cottesmere covered seven furlongs in 1.31 1-5.. Silver Ring and Ramo went a similar distance in 1.30 2-5. Finishing strongly, Ranelagh beat Hurlingham easily over six furlongs in 1.17 2-5. Spoon Goe& Comfortably. Spoon did half-a-mile in 525. She was going comfortably. Polydora and Charmeuse were sent half-a-mile along the back in 51 3-5- - Prosec'enium, Glandovey and Solwit did a similar dlstanoe in the same time. Jaloux ran six furlongs in 1.17 4-5. Delice and Golden Dart covered five, furlongs in 1.4 1-5, .Wise Choice and Robin Hood taking 1.4. ' loeni and Arrow Maid went half-a-mile in 51 4-5. Billy Boy and King Comet, separately, did strong work once round. V Tea Urn jumped two pony hurdles ■carefully and then gave a good display with Royal Limond over four big hurdles. Dan Russell and High Pitch were schooled over fences after jumping the brush at the straight. High Pitch blundered the first double, losing his rider; On starting against both jumped sevon more•• fences well. Dan Russell was in front all the way.
