MR. D. BRYANT’S SCHEME. SEVERAL BLOCKS INSPECTED. Through the discovery that the donation of £IO,OOO voted to the soolety by the Auckland Savings Bank cannot be paid over until authority is given by the Cabinet by an Order-In-Goun-cll, the progress of the Waikato Land Settlement Society’s, land development scheme has experienced a temporary delay. . ~
, Application has been made for the required authority, and'lt is expected that the Order-in-Council will» be gazetted shortly. The society Has been incorporated, and the directors appointed, and several, blocks of land in the Waikato have been -Inspected, one of which will, be acquired for development as soon as. the necessary arrangements regarding the Savings Bank’s donation,have been completed. ,
