THE AUCKLAND MARKETS. TONE REPORTED FIRM. (By Telegraph.—Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, Monday. The first call of the week found brokers again in a position to do business, and the week-end ’ quotations were reinstated, while a number of fresh sales was recorded. There Were hot many changes, but the market tone was firm. In the banking section Commercials of Sydney were quoted ex div., with buyers at £l7, and holders asking 4s more. There were buyers for New Zealands at £2 9s id. The ordinary shares of the Farmers’ Auctioneering Company were again Inquired for at £1 15s, bringing a seller at £2'los. Northern Roller Mills were on offer at £1 Bs. A buyer came forward at £1 6s. 1 In the mining sections Blackwaters were In demand at £1 7s, and Waihis £1 3s 4d, Buyers for Broken Hill Proprietary advanced their offers to £1 16s 6d, but there were no sellers.
