A “FIRST OFFENCE.” Quite an uncommon occurrence for St. Andrews links was witnessed by a large number of the match players when T. Impey, of Titirangi, holed his tee shot from the Ist tee. This was Impey’s first offence and he chose a rather unfortunate week-end for the event. A similar Incident was narrowly averted when a lady, playing the 14th, pitched her ball right in the cup, but it jumped out again. ROCKY DOWNS CLUB. An 18-hole medal match was played 'On Saturday and won by D. R. Abernethy, with a score of GO. A. Thomson and R. Mentiplay were runners-up with scores of 72. Jn the junior semi-final, F. Woodhouse beat N. Barker, 2 up.
