POLLED HEREFORD STUD. , V-A ‘ " V SECOND ANNUAL SALE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GISBORNE, Friday. Tha second annual sale of Mr F. E. ’ Humphreys’ Polled Hereford stud was held at his station, Wilencote, to-day. AH the hulls were rising two-year-olds. Fourteen were disposed .of,, avering 50 guineas, compared .with 42 guineas last year. The top price was 90 guineas. Three were bought for New South Wales and two for Victoria. NGARUAWAHIA STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Ltd., report having held their usual Ngaruawahia sale yesterday, when a good yarding of all classics came forward. Cow and heifer'beef showed no alteration, while dairy stock remained unchanged. WAIHOU STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:—At Waihou sale on Friday a good yarding of fat cattle sold at prices well up to recent quotations. Yearling heifers showed an easing tendency. There was a small yarding of fat pigs, but competition was very spirited, values for all classes showing an improvement on last sale.. A large entry of ■stores and weanors also met with keen demand, and the whole yarding was sold at prices on a par with previous sales. Quotations Sheep.—Fat wethers to 20s 3d; fat ewes to 15s; fat hoggets, 14s 9d to los 9d. Dairy cattle: A smaller yarding of dairy cattle came forward, competition for all classes being ;.v slightly firmer than last sale.
