THE JOKER CUP.

FIXTURE FOR AUGUST 10. MAIDEN STAKE. The sixteen dog conditional maiden stake for the Joker Cup, to bo run at Whltlora on August 19 by the Hamilton Coursing Club will -be the most Important fixture staged this season. An all-aged stake will be run In conjunction with the Joker Cup. Already keen Interest Is being manifested and Indications aro that wide support will 1)0 forthcoming from all over the province.

An interesting feature of the Cup trial will be tho catering for maiden dogs who have not won more than £5 In any one slake. At a recent, meeting of the executive of the Hamilton Coursing Club It was decided to support the resolution carried at the, Waterloo Gup meeting at Waitara, that the headquarters of the New Zealand Coursing Association (Dunedin) bo transferred to the NoTTh Island, and that the place of residence hr Hamilton. It was pointed out at Waitara that North Island delegates were debarred, through expense, from travelling to Dunedin and further that no financial statement of the Association's affairs was supplied to affiliated clubs.
