Detective-Sergeant P. J. Doyle, who has been attached to the Criminal Investigation Department at Auckland' for five and a-half years, has been transferred for duty to Dunedin. Mr Doyle was stationed at Te Awamutu for a number 6f years, and in. 1928 he was promoted to detective-Jsergeant and transferred to Auckland. \

Dr. J. J. Bradfleld resigned from the New South Wales Government service yesterday, leaving behind the harbour bridge (which he designed) as a monument to his service to the State. He intends to take a holiday and later will enter private practica as a consulting engineer.
