FLOODS IN JAPAN.
RIVER OVERFLOWS. 1000 HOUSES DEMOLISHED. TOKYO, July 1. Despatches from Fusan state that the Rakutoko River has overflowed as the result of a week’s rain—the heaviest for eight years. The floods are spreading destruction. Already 20 people are known to be dead. Aiore than 1000 houses have been demolished. The floods show no sign of abating.
