LATE PERSONAL,
Dr. Ross, captain of the Australian Rugby team now touring South Africa, has been successfully operated upon for appendicitis. Messrs R. A. Shirley and D. Haver (Wellington), C. A. Hunter, G. Horton, T. A. Harrison and F. G. Brown (Auckland), arc at the. Empire Hotel.
Mr G. F. Bothamley, at present, second clerk assistant, and reader of bills in the House of Representatives, has been appointed first, elerk assistant, In succession to Mr \V. I. Dascnt (retired). Mr H. N. Dollimnre, at present record clerk, has been promoted to second clerk assistant.
