Quotations given represent the average for the week, and are not selected lines, hut for parcels fairly representative of the bulk of shipments now on offer.

DEMAND FOR LAMBS. 1 V MARKET REPORTED EASIER. The Bank of New Zealand has received the following advice from its London olllce as at the close of business last week: —Wethers: There is a moderate demand, but prices are firm. Ewes: There is little inquiry. Lambs: Tho demand is not so good and the market is easier. Trade generally has fallen off. Quotations are: Wethers, light, 3jfd lo 4fd per lb.; heavy, 3d to 3icl; ewes, 2Jd to 3Jd; lambs, twos, GJd lo 7d; eights, GJd to 7cl; fours, G 3-8 dto 6 5-8 d; seconds, 6d lo GAd.
