DOUGLAS CREDIT.
MEETING AT KOROMATUA, NEW BRANCH FORMED., Interest in the Douglas Social Credit proposals continues to grow amongst Waikato farmers. 'On Saturday cvenI ing about thirty farmers gathered in the Koromatua school house to eon- ; sider the formation of a branch of the I Social Credit movement. A party of Hamilton members, headed hv Mr C. A. Darrell and Mr G. E. Pierce attended and Air Darrell adressed the meeting, giving a lucid explanation of the Douglas analysis and remedy. A keen discussion followed, the nature of the many questions asked showing how much the interest of those present had been aroused. Ultimately it was decided to form a branch and the following committee was elected before the meeting dispersed:—Chairman, Mr G. Barrett; secretary, Air Garth llall; committee, Alessrs R. G. Revolt, J. Fletcher, S. Armstrong, J. Ilarlstone and G. Paton. Many of those present joined up at once and the Hamilton party was warmly thanked for its assistance.
