BTOOK BALE. AT NGARUAWAHIA, The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co. Ltd.; report having held their Ngaruawahia stock sale yesterday, when there was a good yarding of store oattle and a heavy yarding of dairy cattle. Prices were on a par with late sales.
Quotations. —Sheep: Fat lambs, 16s Id; lighter fat lambs, 13s 7d. Cattle: Prime fat cows, £4 11s; medium fat cows, £2 5s to £2 10s; fresh conditioned cows, 27s to 365; boner oows, 17s to 225; yearling heifers, 39s to £2 2s; Jersey bulls, £5; potter bulls, £2 18s. ' Dairy Cattle: Jersey-cows, In milk, £5 5s to £5 15s; good Jersey cows, July-August -calvers, £5 15s to £6; good JOrsey heifers, July calvers, £5 5s to £6. ’WAIHOU SALE.
The Farmers’ Co-op. Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report having held their Waihou stook sale on Friday, when ewe and wether mutton came forward in average numbers, with quotations right up to late central rates. There was a heavy yarding of lambs, when upwards of 600 were penned, with export buyers again operating keenly at Arm late rates.
Cattle.—There was a full yarding of cattle, including some well finished cows, with competition strong. Second quality and boner cows also improved In sympathy. Pigs.—A small yarding of fat pigs came . forward, and sold, on a par with late rates. A good yarding of stores met with good competition. Quotations. —Heavy fat wethers, 18s Cd to 20s; lighter wethers, 15s to 16s 6d; fat ewes, 10s 6d to 12s; prime fat lambs, 19s Id to 21s; medium fat lambs, 15s 3d to 17s lid; light fat lambs, 12s 9d to 14s 2d; heavy fat cows, £4 11s to £4 17s; medium fat cows and heifers, £3 9s to £3 16s;lighter fat cows and heifers, £2 10s to £‘i 16s; heavy second quality cowp, 39s lo £2 9s; tillable cows, 33s to 38s; boner cows, IGs to 30s; Jersey heifer calves, £2 2s to £2 8s; Jersey cross heifer calves, 30s lo 345; sound dairy cows, July and August calvers, £4 to £4 15s; sound rt Ay cws, later calvers, £3 lo £3 15s.
