HIGH SCHOOL MASTER.
MR R. O. GRIFFITHS RESIGNS. - TRIBUTE BY GOVERNORS. The resignation of Mr R. C. Griffiths, junior assistant master, was received at a meeting of the Board of Governors of ,the- Hamilton High School yesterday. Mr Griffiths has accepted a position on the staff of 'the Otahuhu Technical High School. “He will be a distinct loss to the school,” said the chairman (Mr C. L. Mac Diarmid). “Air Griffiths has done good work during his five years here."
'The resignation was accepted with regret and appreciation of his services was recorded.
Mr E. Wilson, the principal, pointed out that if a new master was -appointed and the roll number further decreased next year it might be necessary to dispense with the services of one of the staff. This unpleasanttask could probably be avoided if a temporary master was appointed. It was decided to call for applications for a temporary -master to fill ■the vacancy.
