ROTARY CONFERENCE.
GATHERING AT BOSTON.
WELLINGTON BANNER PRESENTED ADMIRAL BYRD’S PLEDGE. United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright. (Received June 30, 1.45 p.m.) BOSTON (Massachusetts), June 29. The International Rotary Convention to-day, received into perpetual possession, a silken banner bearing the emblem of the Rotary Club, Wellington, New Zealand, which was presented by Mr T. C. List, who said he hoped it would symbolise the bond of friendship between Rotarians in this land and the Dominion.
Admiral Byrd, the famous Polar explorer, was called to the platform and pledged himself on his next Antarctic ■expedition to name .some part of that Continent “Little New Zealand,” in honour of New Zealand !? Rotariaiis.
