POLICE PROMOTION.
SERGEANT G. 8. SAUNDERB. Notice 'of his promotion to the rank of sergeant has been received by Mr G. S. Saunders, who has been district clerk in the inspector’s office at Hamilton for a number of years. Sergeant Saunders joined the force from Waihi nearly 19 years ago, and was flrst stationed at Dunedin, remaining there until his transfer to about 13 years ago.
