Mr A. C. Willis having won the pre-election ballot for the Bulli byelection, Intends to stand as a Slate Labour candidate. It is believed that if he wins lie will command a larger party in the Legislative Assembly than Mr J. T. Lang.
Mr Sweeney, the endorsed candidate of the Trades Hall inner group, was sixth ill the ballot.

ALLEGED DEFECTIVE NOMINATION

An appeal has been lodged against the election of Mr Aubrey Coverley, Labour member for Kimberley, by his opponent, Mr Arthur Povah, on the ground that his telegraphed nomination omitted Ills address.
