OBITUARY.
MR W. J. BIMMONDB. AUCKLAND, Thursday. The death occurred suddenly yesterday of Mr William John Slmmonds, president of the Auckland Typographical Union. Mr Slmmonds was for many years a member of the staff of the Thames Star, and for nine years had been employed by the New Zealand Herald as a linotype operator.
FATHER EMMET McHARDY. WELLINGTON, Thursday. The death of Father Emmet McHardy took place at the Home of Com passion, Island Bay, Wellington, last evening. Father McHardy, who was 29 years of age, was born in Taranaki and was tjie son of Mr John McHardy, of Plhama.
