minister resigns. On account of his having accepted a call to the pastorate of the Whangarei baptist Church, the Rev. R. G. Bycroft 3s severing his 'connection with the Hamilton Church as from July 31st. The minister’s resignation was submitted to a well-attended meeting of members of the local church last night. The value of the services rendered by Mr Rycroft during six and n-half years as pastor, is widely recognised, and there are many who will regret ins departure. Mr J. Knights, an elder of the church, paid a line tribute to the minister, and ids remarks were supported by several oilier speakers. A committee was appointed lo make the necessary preliminary arrangements for filling I lie vacancy. \ gjnee accepting Hie call to Ids new pastorate Mr Rycroft. has suffered a great, loss in the death of his wife, who was loved and esteemed by all who knew her. Great sympathy is felt for Mr Bycroft in ids bereavement.
