THE NEW BRIDGE.
EARLY COMPLETION EXPECTED. END OF NEXT YEAR. It Is possible that the fiew bridge over the Waikato River at No. i Eridge, Hamilton, will be completed by the end of next year, 1934. It is hoped that the'completed plans will be laid before the .Waikato County Council, the controlling body, at its next meeting, when the final legal proceedings should be put in train. These may take a month or six weeks, after which it should toe possible to call tenders for the eonstructural work immediately. Thus completion-of the bridge by the end of next year would he possible. It is proposed to close the present •traffic bridge for repairs as' soon as an alternative route is available.
