' LONDON, May 16. At the wool sales 10,145 bales were offered including 7168 of New Zealsnd. About 8068 bales were sold. Brisk competition continued from all sections of buyers. The offering was mostly cleared. Prices show a general advance of 5 per cent above opening rates. New Zealand clips, greasy crossbred “J.L.R." top price 9sd, average 6d; scoured merinos “Overord" 18Jd and 17d.
