Sunday 62.0 50.0 Monday 64.0 57.0 The barometer is high at 30.30 with a rising tendency. Indications are for cloudy and humid conditions generally to-day and probably to-mor-row, but fair at intervals. North-westerly winds prevailing. 0.03 points of ram fell during the past 24 hours. Mean temperature 60.5 degrees. SOUTH AUCKLAND AREA. SPECIAL FORECAST. (By Govt. Meterolcglst.) The special forecast by the Government meteorologist covering the WaikatoThames Valley area is a follows : Forecast: Moderate but Increasing north to west winds. Weather fair to ■cloudy, but later showers developing. Mild temperatures. Seas moderate. General Inference: Pressure is still very high to the north and north-east of New Zealand, while a series of boisterous westerly depressions extends from Tasmania to the southern portion of the Dominion. THE RAINFALL. (Recorded at Ruakura.) Rainfall for 24 hours ended 9 o’clock this morning -00 in. Rainfall for previous 24 hours .02ins. Total for May 5.37in5. Rainfall for year to date, 20.70m5.
