ADVANCED BY A PATRIOT. • TRUSTS THE GOVERNMENT. (From a Correspondent.) SYDNEY, May 1. Mr Charles E. Hood, a Clarence St. business man, lias sent a cheque for £SOO to tho Premier as a loan to tho Government free of interest for one year. In a covering letter Mr Hood expressed appreciation of ithe Government's work. it will be recalled that shortly after the Stevens Government came into office. Mr Hood donated a similar on terms similar to the present load.
