AUSTRALIAN FORESTS.
ADELAIDE. ENTERPRISE. (Prom a Correspondent.* ADELAIDE, May 2. jhe possibility of using timber from the State pine forests for paper pulp has been Investigated by the Australian Paper Manufacturers, Ltd. Satisfactory tests have been conducted and paper of good quality has been produced for experimental purposes. Representatives of the companies have conferred with the Premier (Mr Butler) and the Minister in charge of the forests (Mr Ritchie) this afternoon, and as a result Mr Butler said the Government would give favourable consideration to the company’s proposals. , It is likely that a big factory will be established for the manufacture of paper.
