SUNDAY NIGHT CONCERT. PROGRAMME AT THE CIVIC. HAMILTON BAND ENTERTAIN. There were few vacant seats In the Civio Theatre last night, when the first of a series of Sunday night concerts arranged by the Waikato Regimental and Hamilton Municipal Band was staged., An excellent programme was presented, and if the items in the future concerts are of the same high order, the success of the entertainments Is assured. Under the baton of Lieutenant A. E. Savage, the band was heard in several selections and marches, including some of the contest pieces, and their performance was a musical treat. Encores were the rule, and all the performers were recalled. A feature was the brass quartette, “II Trovatore," which was particularly well-rendered. The programme was as follows: Hymn, “Lead, Kindly Light,” and contest march, “Knight of the Road;” the band; songs, “Rose of Tralee,” and “Requiem,” Mr. J. G. MoCready; brass quartette, "II Trovatore;” saxophone solos, “Drlgo’s Serenade,” and "Souvenir,” Mr. E. 11. Quill; contest selection, “ Souvenirs of the Opera,” the band; songs, “The Watchman,” and "The Wanderer,” Mr. G. A. Wheeler; selection, “Happy Memories,” the
