CYCLE ROAD RACE
WAIKATO AMATEUR CLUB. SIXTEEN-MILE EVENT DECIDED. Sixteen riders wore engaged in the Waikato Amateur Cycle Club’s 16 mile race over a lap course at Vardon Road, l’e Rapa, on Saturday afternoon. The racing was of an interesting order, and good times were recorded. Results were as follows;—J. Montford (Glen Massey), 7 min., 45 min. 42 sec., 1; M. Jones (Hamilton), 5 min., 43 min. 29 sec., 2; C. HiU (Ngaruawahia), 4 min., 43 min. 35 soc., 3.
Fastest lime, 42 min. 49 sec., was recorded by R. Norman (Ngaruawahia,) who rode off 30s.
